It’s Never Too Late to get stronger…
We have teamed up with the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy’s (CSP) “Never Too Late” campaign, to deliver a new exercise class for the older populaction; physio-led balance and functional strength training classes.
The classes will be delivered by a Chartered Physiotherapist and will take a circuit-type format and focus on four areas;
~ balance and stability
~ core strength
~ upper limb strength
~ lower limb strength
Each station will have 3-4 functional exercises that are similar to day-to-day activities/movements but will be slightly more challenging (e.g lunges with small weights, medicine ball carrying, standing on one leg, squats, pilates bridging, balancing on a wobble cushion).
There will be a warm up, a 45 minute circuit and a cool down / stretch plus the opportunity for a cup of tea and a social chat at the end.
Classes are limited to 12 people and places must be booked in advance. Please contact us to confirm your place.
