What is VALD testing technology?
VALD testing technology is widely used within many NHS trusts and all Premiership football teams, and the introduction of the Dynamo technology at Square One has marked a pivotal advancement in the way our physiotherapy team approaches clinical assessments.
This extensive testing system offers an intuitive and adaptable method for conducting around 300 tests, and provides data for our team to monitor both right and left asymmetries, to assist recovery and progress rehabilitation. Unlike traditional methods, this system offers an objective, quantifiable way to assess the recovery journey, allowing us to pinpoint areas needing extra attention. The testing system measures the force the muscles can produce, providing precise data about strength, imbalances and progress over time.
The introduction of Dynamo technology at Square One has significantly improved patient engagement and experience. At Square One, we continue to exceed patient expectations by adding value to each appointment. The device application enlivens objective assessments with real-time visualisations of strength and movement, transforming the assessment process into an interactive and educational experience for our patients. The results clarify progress and help strengthen the connection with the rehabilitation journey.
Incorporating Dynamo testing technology into physiotherapy assessments represents a significant leap forward in clinical diagnostics, to significantly enhance both patient assessments and clinical efficiency.
Who is suitable for VALD testing?
VALD strength and range of movement testing forms part of our physiotherapy appointments and comes at no additional cost. As a clinic, our aim is to exceed patient expectations, and the very high-level care provided achieves the desired results. We utilise this testing technology for:
- Enhancing objective assessments for injured patients or for improving athletic performance
- Tracking progress over time and progressing injury rehablitation
- Optimising post-operative recovery for all upper and lower limb post-operative patients
- Injury prevention by identifying strength imbalances and areas of weakness
- Establishing readiness to return to activity or sport, whether as a post-operative patient, or someone recovering from a soft tissue injury, such as tendinopathy or a muscle strain
