Lexi Spoor.

I graduated from Leeds Beckett University with a distinction in MSc Physiotherapy, following completion of a BSc (Hons) degree in Sports and Exercise Therapy in 2023. I am a full member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapist and Health and Care Professions Council.

My academic journey has been complemented by hands-on experience through various placements within the NHS, focusing on musculoskeletal conditions in adult community settings and paediatrics. During my studies, I had the opportunity to work with esteemed sports teams, including Harrogate Town FC, Leeds Rhinos Rugby, and the England rugby team during the Rugby League World Cup 2021.

I have a keen interest in paediatric physiotherapy and have completed a research project focusing on physiotherapy management for childhood obesity. I was invited to present this to clinicians working in the paediatric sector at Leeds Teaching Hospitals Trust. I am keen to continue this research throughout my career.

I am currently qualifying as an APPI Clinical Pilates instructor to compliment my physiotherapy skills. I’m looking forward to exploring how combining Physiotherapy with Pilates can enhance patient outcomes, improve mobility, alleviate pain, and promote overall well-being.
